Ananta Dasa

Born in Moscow in 1960, Ananta Dasa's photographic journey began in 1983 after graduating from Moscow University. He worked as a fashion photographer, film director on documentary movies and has collaborated with a number of agencies and publications around the world; eventually he settled in a town of "5,000 Temples" in India called Vrindavana (from 1988-2007).

I have always tried to preserve my world. One of my Indian friends once said that you can't recover, if you are around sick people. I feel that this very true. Every deed should bring some kind of harmony to the person, no matter what he or she does. We have to learn how to live in peace. When you understand the false aspects of life and get over them, you obtain clarity and essence of life. Every photo of mine is objects and people from my world, and I love and remember them all.
